Reimagining Brooklyn Bridge Design Competition Entry
The Brooklyn Bridge is a unique site that serves as both a connector and a destination. While preserving its iconic presence, the proposal seeks to enhance both aspects with minimal surgical interventions to the existing structure. By adding small distinct islands along the pedestrian path, it encourages tourists and locals to step off the spine and enjoy the Brooklyn Bridge experience at their own pace. This way, the path becomes less crowded and a more pleasant place for all.
